With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Joy of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, who passed away on July 13, 2021 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Hukee and Margaret Hukee (Thorstenson); her brothers, Russell and Donald Hukee; her sister-in-law Arla Hukee-Sunram; her nephew Chad Nichols; her father-in-law Wilbur Joy; her stepmother-in-law Sally Westlie; her sisters-in-law, Lynn Joy and Pam Joy; her niece Gina Summers; and her great-nephew Jude Summers Sandberg.
She is survived by: her husband William Joy (Willie); her nephew David Hukee; her nieces, Susie Crary (Burt), Kate Arens (Andy) of Nashwauk and Jayne Hukee; her brother-in-law Leonard Sunram (Wanda); her nephews, Gabe and Garrett Sunram (April); her cousins, Gary Hukee, Dorothy Havercamp, Vicki Havercamp, Mark Havercamp, Bernice Chesnick, Jane Arendes and Sharon Look; her mother-in-law Beverly Hurley; and her siblings-in-law, John Joy, Sharon Spiess (Bob), Lori Boll (Rich), Nancy Karst and Patrick Hurley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins along with many special friends.
