He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Benke; and his siblings, Tom Benke, William Benke, Junice Meyer and Donna Weegman.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Benke (Sheri) of Mankato, Scooter Benke (Nancy) of Dent, Kyle Benke (Jacky), Marty Benke (Brenda) of Perham and Wendi Olson (Reid) of Fergus Falls; his grandchildren, Katie, Kelly, Derrick, Tucker, Ryan, Josh, Chad, Samantha, Rick, Brooke, Tyler, Taylor, Becca, Matthew, Jamie and Michael; his close friend Rita Abbott of Dent; and his sisters, Lois Rosentreter (Ben) and Susan Gerds (Lynn). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
