She is survived by: her son Ben Nelson (Jamie); her stepchildren, Jon Bakkedahl (Jennifer), Scott Yoki (September), Tom Bakkedahl (Laura) and Jennifer Calhoun (Mike); and her close friend Scott Peterson.
