With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sterling Fjerstad (Deer River, Minnesota), who passed away on June 9, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Selmer Fjerstad and Emma Fjerstad (Langseth); and his siblings, LaVonne, Richard and Farrell.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Steile; his children, Neal (Kelly), Gregory, Benita and Karrie Prebeck (Frank); his grandchildren, Amanda Erke (Mike), Emily, Jesse Hoffmeister (Amanda) and Justin Gully; and his sisters, Betty Andrist, Glenda Flores (Paul) and Judy Lorimore (Gary). He is also survived by children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and often said holding a child.
