He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilho Maki and Orvetta Maki; and his brother David Maki. He is survived by: his wife Denise Benson; his daughters, Julia Pyrah (Aaron), Elizabeth Lyytinen (Bryce) and Kaye Hawkins (Logan); his brothers, Duane Maki (Marlys) and Tim Maki (Sheila); and his grandchildren, Claudia, Joseph, Cecelia, Jack, Grahm, Isabelle, Ellia and Theo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carroll Funeral Home (314 Main Ave E, Deer River, MN 56636).
