He was predeceased by: his former wife Nancy Louise Kaercher; his son David; his son-in-law Chuck Shrader; and his sister Jean Jewell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Carlson (Ryden); his children, Kathy Shrader of Amherst, VA and Dan Ludwig (Kristy) of Waterford, PA; his stepchildren, Kathryn Hoffman (Troy) of Minnetonka, MN and Brian Carlson (Brenda) of Barnesville, MN; and his sister Ruth Crawford (Jim). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church (2901 US-169, Grand Rapids, MN 55744).
