He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Haapamaki and Mary Haapamaki; his wife Beatrice Elayne Lekander; his siblings, Wilho and Irja Johnson; and his sons, Timothy and John.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Maki (Janet) of Cohasset and Lisa McCandless of Menomonie, WI. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren & 1great great grandchild & several nieces & nephews.
