With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alvah Lee Alger of Deer River, Minnesota, born in Cass Lake, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 21, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Alger and Freelove Alger (Mohawk); his former wife Faye Partridge; his wife Geneva Ludwig; his siblings, Don, Vernon, Duane, Keith, Ronald, Knute, Willy, Emmett, Geraldine and Donna; and his grandson Christopher.
He is survived by: his sisters, Lenora, Margaret and Rosie; and his children, Alvy Jr. (Velma), Burton (Laurie), Shelley (Wade), Sherry (Lance), Delarie (Don), Kenny and Garret. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
Alvy worked at the Casino until he was 85 years old, only leaving then when the country was shut down due to Covid.
