He was predeceased by: his wife Sally; his daughter Marjorie Valene Grossman; and his siblings, Jacob, Leo, Sam, Rose, Helen and Mary.
He is survived by: his children, Murray Valene (Geraldine) of New Orleans, LA, Valerie Valene (Michael Pukas) of Gypsum, CO and Scott Valene (Patrice) of Long Lake; his grandchildren, Kym Valene of New Orleans, Kari Dart (Sean) of Settle, Brandon Valene of Seattle, Courtney Low (Ari) of Wayzata, McKenna of Long Lake, Connor of Long Lake, Riley of Long Lake and Jack Valene of Long Lake; his great grandchildren, Samantha Dart, Jesse Dart, Ethan, Alexandra and Chase Low; and his nephew Robert McNae (Angilea) of Orono.
