He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Dahlheimer (Vetsch); his sons, John Dahlheimer and Todd Dahlheimer; his mother Mildred Dahlheimer (Weber); his parents-in-law, Alvin and Bernice Vetsch (Eckes); his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane and Joseph Vetsch; his father Merlin John Dahlheimer; his children, Sandy Rock (Jay), Randy Dahlheimer (Tammie), Michelle Langefels (Dave), Pam Dahlheimer and Jennifer Goede (Chuck); his grandchildren, Tanya Brown (Anson), Justin Rock (Laura), Joshua Dahlheimer, Jessica Cichocki (Frank), Morgan Owens (Jake), Mandy Hoffmeister (Aaron), Zachary Dahlheimer, Erika Langefels, David Langefels Jr., Alexander Langefels (Erin), Luke Langefels, Lily Langefels, Xander Dahlheimer, Sarena Dahlheimer, Hannah Goede, Ella Goede and Ella Harris; his great grandchildren, Ryder, Roxy Brown, Celia Dahlheimer, Oliver and Audrey Cichocki; his siblings, Pete Dahlheimer (Jean), Carmen Berning (John), Janet Murray, Marcia Heath (Steve), Mike Dahlheimer (Darlene), Joe Dahlheimer (Joanne), Chuck Dahlheimer (Cindy), Phillip Dahlheimer (Anne), Sharon Henke (Robert), Jim Dahlheimer (Lynda) and Renee Thayer; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Vetsch (Leona), Betty Vetsch, Judy Forsythe, Betsy Vetsch, Marilyn "Cheech" Dahl (Dennis), Mary Kay Vetsch (Sue Warn) and Barb Gangl (John). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association.
