He is survived by: his wife Mildred Haugen (Johnson); his children, Tim Haugen (Sheila), Terry Haugen (Sarah), Shaun Lemmerhirt and Judd Gonzalez-Whelan; and his siblings, Ruth Cook and John Haugen. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
