He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlowe Bergeland and Helen Bergeland (Bueide); and his sister Carol Dugan. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kuhlmann; his children, Margret Goldstein (Brett), Ed Bergeland (Justine) of Alexandria, VA, Eric Bergeland (Sunnie) of Watertown, SD, Rachael Bergeland of Dawson, Hugh Bergeland of Dawson, Paige Bergeland of Baltimore, MD and Charlotte Bergeland (Joe Colville) of Puerto Rico; his siblings, Constance Hardie (Wallace) of Wahpeton, ND, Kirsten Fong (Stephen) of Eagan, MN and Timothy Bergeland (Heidi) of Murdock, MN; and his brother-in-law Richard Dugan of Collinsville, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
