He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Alma; his sisters, Dorothy Hedin and Elaine Olson; and his niece Cheryl Hanson.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Merrilee Olson Jones, Tim Olson, Stan Olson and Dale Hedin.
