He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Ivonne Marie Gustafson; his parents, Arnold Paulson and Lillian Salmela (Paulson); his siblings, Richard Paulson and Shirley Habisch; his stepbrothers, Howard Salmela and Donald Salmela; and his siblings-in-law, Alfred Habisch and Linda Salmela.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Paulson (Kay) of Kingston, Randa Hastings of Dassel, Rory Paulson of Hutchinson, RaChelle Rawlins (Mitchell) of Dassel and Ryan Paulson of Dassel; his siblings, Jeannette Shipp (Don) of Wills Point, Wayne Paulson (Nyla) of Watkins, Donna Wiebel of Waconia, June Johnson (Ted) of Salon and Terry Flatt (Paul) of Litchfield; his stepbrothers, Caleb Salmela of South Haven, Robert Salmela (Kris) of South Haven and Roger Salmela (Susan) of South Haven; and his sister-in-law Yvonne Paulson. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (611 2nd St, Dassel, MN 55325). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
