She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Hardy and Eva Hardy (Clement); her brothers, Jack Hardy (Joyce Hardy Eggleston) and Duane Hardy (Bonnie Hardy); and her brother-in-law Lawrence Freeman.
She is survived by: her spouse Leslie Benson; her children, Bonnie Jo Baumetz (Lowell) of Hutchinson, Jon Benson (Karen) of Dassel, Scott Benson (Joe Andrews) of Minneapolis and Shari Forsman (Mark) of Dassel; her grandchildren, Jason Baumetz (YouJa), Jeni Hemingson (Jeff), Jessica Baumetz (Dave Griffin), Krista Cook (Travis), Aaron Benson (Megan), Kayla Jo Sigdahl (Ryan) and Karsen Forsman (Kellyn); her great grandchildren, Kalea Baumetz, Makani Baumetz, Larson Hemingson, Alicia Hemingson, Ty Hemingson, Logan Cook, Brody Cook and Benson Sigdahl; and her sister Betty Freeman of Annandale.
