He is survived by: his wife Elaine Welle; his grandchildren, Jessica Schaefer, Katelyn Athmann, Kalley Athmann, Logan Kremer, Luke Kremer and Haley Schaefer; his great grandchildren, Lilli Alberson and Marlee Alberson; his siblings, Joan Tamm of St. Cloud, Dan Schaefer (Ginny) of Pierz, Jane Miller of Eagan, Mary Schaefer of Massachusetts, Fred Schaefer (Janel) of Annandale, Shirley Schmit (Jon) of St. Cloud and Jolene Schaefer (Eleanor) of St. Cloud; and his brother-in-law Ervin VanBeck of Apple Valley. He is also survived by His wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
