He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Bjornson and Helen Bjornson (Krebs); his stepdaughter Melissa Aasberg; his parents-in-law, Kalmer and Mayma Rude; and also, ReCal Nygard, Kenny Rude, Calmer Rude, Howard Rude, Leo Rude, Gene Rude, Norman Rude, Keith Rude, Violet Spenst and Bobby Spenst.
He is survived by: his nephews, Adam and Jake; his cousins, Tim, Jeff and Terry; his wife June Bjornson of Dalton; his children, Jade Bjornson of Dalton, Lauri Aasberg of Fergus Falls, Brian Aasberg of Fergus Falls and Kathy VanSanten (Chad) of Ashby; his grandchildren, Madison VanSanten (Dalon Bitzan) of Battle Lake, Michael VanSanten (Heather) of Moorhead, Brady Tabery (MaKayla) of Evansville, Danica, Brison and Cason Aasberg of Elbow Lake; his children, Sade, Neelow, Deanna and Sareena Nelson; his siblings, Randy Bjornson (Vicki), Shelly Dunham (Dave) and Sue Rockwell (Jon); and his sister-in-law Marion Rund (Rude).
