He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Jodsaas and Elizabeth Jodsaas; his brother Lloyd Eugene; and his stepfather Virgil Wiederholt. He is survived by: his wife Lynda; his children, Sherry Dedolph (Brian), Kim Polley (William) and Rick Jodsaas; his stepson Adam Newton (Erin); his grandchildren, Nick, Brandon, Alex Dedolph, Kirra, Chase Polley, LeRoy White (Allison), Dylan (Hannah), Javelin Jodsaas (Erica), Finn, August and Annika Newton; and his siblings, Darline Claus (Woody), Ray Jodsaas (Diane), Lynn Jodsaas (Bridgett), Melissa Lee (Pat), Virginia Aanenson (Danny) and Keven Wiederholt (Janet).
School scholarships in Larry Jodsaas's name are given annually at the University of St. Thomas and Hope Academy, and Larry has given sizable donations to The Works Museum and the Lisbon Opera House.
