It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cleo Hames of Currie, Minnesota, born in Slayton, Minnesota, who passed away on November 19, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hames and Susan Holles Hames; his parents-in-law, Henry and Lucille Visker; his son-in-law David Peterson; his brother-in-law Karl Malchow; and his nephew Steven Higley.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hames of Currie, MN; his children, Brian Hames of Currie, MN and Wendy Peterson of Lakeville, MN; his grandchildren, James Hames, Dalton and Miranda Peterson; his great grandchildren, Ava and Katelyn Hames; his brother Raymond Hames (Kathy) of Lakeville, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Henrietta Malchow of Detroit Lakes, MN, Joanne Higley (Steve) of San Antonio, TX and Ron Visker (Susan) of Windom, MN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
