With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Mahowald of Crosslake, Minnesota, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on August 2, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Mahowald of Northfield, MN; her parents, Albert Fischer and Johanna Fischer of Minneapolis; her daughter Michelle "Misha" Mahowald; and her sister Joyce Vadnais (Arthur).
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Mahowald; and her grandchildren, Sam Hayford and Emily Hayford. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
