He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Arvig (Gardner) and Louis Arvig; and his sisters, Doris Coulter, Allison Brunes and Jeanette Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia (Gould); his children, Greg Arvig (Becky) of Pequot Lakes, Mike Arvig of Pequot Lakes, Jill Beyer (Todd) of Pequot Lakes, Holli Streff (Steve) of Red Wing and Beth Berg (Scott) of Duluth; and his grandchildren, Jamie, Aaron, Tyler, Megan, Adam, Brenna, Drake, Trenton, Alex, Emma, Helen, Daphne and Lars. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
