He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Bertie and Elaine Bertie; and his in-laws, Rin and Emma Niemi. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Paul (Kristi) and Erin Stoering (Robert); his grandchildren, Aiden, Rin, Mason, Ayla and Adelyn; and his siblings, Dennis (Sharon), Joe (Jerri), Eleen Ray, Karen Bertie (Joe Radtke) and Ann Fiega.
They both retired for the second time when Covid hit.
