He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Waffensmith and Ida Waffensmith (Swing); his brother Robert Waffensmith; and his grandchildren, Maria Waffensmith and Zachary Waffensmith.
He is survived by: his former wife Delores Ferrari; his wife Amy Beach-Hale; his children, John Waffensmith of Englewood, CO, Greg Waffensmith (Kim) of Deerwood, Pam Weber of Clearwater, Sue Gordon (Bill) of Crosby and Debbie Vukelich of Buffalo; his stepchildren, Steven Hale of Sartell, Lori Paulson (Rick) of Deerwood and Sherri Phillips of Hackensack; his former wife Delores "Dode" Waffensmith of Deerwood; and his brother Albert Waffensmith of Glendale, AZ. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.
