He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Nelson Simons and Dolph Collins Simons. He is survived by: his brother Dolph C. Simons Jr. (Pam); his children, Melissa, Suzanne, Jim, Andrea and John Jr.; his grandchildren, Allison, Maxfield, Carter, Rexroad, Powell and Samantha; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Blakely, John and Tex. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
