He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gutenkauf and Alma Gutenkauf (Tholen); and his siblings, William, John, Roger Gutenkauf, Lena Lindquist and Marie Hunner.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Wood; and his children, Gary Gutenkauf (Emily) of Brainerd and Gina Larson (John) of Elk River. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (619 Poplar St, Crosby, MN 56441). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
