He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Grimes and Marian Grimes (McDonough); his son Timothy; and his siblings, Charles, Michael and Patricia Grimes.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Tinker; his children, Steve Grimes (Cindy) of Indianapolis, IN and Paula Powers (Tom) of Fridley; and his brother Richard Grimes (Marie) of St. Louis Park. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
