In the sacred silence of farewell, Gene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Gene's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Bordwell and Marion Bordwell (Peterson); and his brothers, Elmer and Dean Bordwell. He is survived by: his wife Helen Brooks; his children, Deanna Coccie (Richard) of Deerwood, Jami Kiphen (David) of Brainerd, Kelly Hendra (Matthew) of Finksburg, Maryland, Chad Bordwell (Sharon) of Cresco, IA and Trent Bordwell (Josherl) of Houston, TX; and his brother Lloyd Bordwell of Deerwood. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (225 4th St N W, Crosby, MN 56441). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
