He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Monson and Minnie Monson (Anderson); his wife Marjorie Holsapple; his son Shayne Monson; his grandchildren, Bryce Monson, Freddy Chaltron, Denise Fairchild and Marcy Palermo; and his sons-in-law, Marion Hines and Roy Wheeler.
He is survived by: his children, Brad Monson (Mary) of Brainerd, Barry Monson (Marge) of Maple Lake, Karen Hines of Brainerd, Lorna Hurst (Harry) of Mohave Valley, AZ, Dayle Meagher (Edwin) of Humansville, MO, Sandra Willman of Topeka, KS, Brenda Wheeler of Palmdale, CA, Cheryle Thiesen (Michael) of Prior Lake, Shelley Lundgren (Jim) of Ironton, Sherree Voss (Michael) of Buffalo and Thirty. He is also survived by Thirty three grandchildren, seventy six great grandchildren and twenty seven great-great grandchildren.
