He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franz and Loretta Franz (Zigan); and his brothers, John and Conrad Franz. He is survived by: his siblings, Ted Franz (Julie) of Pillager, Rosemary Barnes of Brainerd, Nancy Morgan (Terry) of Aitkin, Audrey Schumacher (Dennis) of Arden Hills, Elizabeth Lyons of Grand Rapids and Theresa Franz of Brainerd. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
