He was predeceased by: his wife Delores Mary Beauchene; his children, Ronald Jay "Ronnie" Nelson and Debra Jo Martinez; his parents, Ole Nelson and Iva Nelson; his brothers, Stanley Roger Nelson and Glenn Nelson; his parents-in-law, David and Alice Beauchene; and his siblings, Robert Beauchene, Margie Roi, Francis Beauchene and Mary Ann Beauchene.
He is survived by: his sons, Pastor Ordean Jr., Maurice Nelson of Crookston, MN and Michael Nelson (Sherri) of Shakopee, MN; his son-in-law Jose Martinez of Crookston; his grandchildren, Delores Shipley (Brian), Carmen Mendez (Shane), Josh Valdez (Ariela), Matthew Nelson (Rose), Micah Nelson (Miranda), Andrea Nelson and Skyla Nelson; his sisters-in-law, Bev Nelson of Mentor, MN, Barb Nelson of Winamac, IN and Marion Beauchene of Fargo, ND; and also Ordean E. Nelson Jr. (Pamela) of Valparaiso, IN. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis a private family service will be held at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston, MN followed by a graveside service at the Fairview Cemetery, Erskine, MN.
