He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Vandervort and Esther Vandervort (Qualley). He is survived by: his sisters, Sandra Vandervort and Joan Lindquist. He is also survived by several other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral & Cremation Service (615 S Minnesota St, Crookston, MN 56716). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Hafslo Cemetery. He would go to dances in East Grand Forks and found a whole community near Phoenix, Arizona, where he could be found during the Minnesota winters, and did this until the Covid pandemic. Wayne still made his way to Arizona during the pandemic but missed dancing greatly during this time.
