He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Hanson and Virginia Hanson (Hegland); his wife Nancy Kay Myrold; his granddaughter Amber Lindemoen; his great grandchild Hannah; his grandson Brian Hanson (Megan); his great grandchildren, Maddie, Brody and Bowen; and his siblings, Pauline Berghoff (William), Ardele Hanson (Brian Thom), Marge Powers (Mike), Kris Parcels (Clay) and Charlie Hanson (Avis). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

He had been battling Parkinson's disease for many years.
