He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Laughery and Rectina Jane Laughery (McCoy); his wife MaryJane Laughery; his children, Alice, Laurence and Allen Laughery; and his siblings, Harold Schumaker (Augusta), Leonard Schumaker (Mildred), Clara Hudson (Harold) and Wesley Laughery (Joyce).

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Attendance at the funeral service will be limited to 125 people and masks and social distancing will be required.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
