With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delores Smith Kurpius of Crookston, Minnesota, born in Fertile, Minnesota, who passed away on October 1, 2022 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Walter M. Smith and Edward; her children, Kelly Smith, Monty Smith, Cindy LaFleur and Sherri Helgaas; her grandsons, Jason Clemenson, Lance Smith and Trent Smith; her grandson-in-law Will Enlow; her siblings, Glen, Ken, Allan "Stub", Nick, Afton, Faye and Roma; her sons-in-law, Lee Hannesson and Bill Kurpius-Brock; her siblings, Joe, Ted, Stanley, Mamie, Lorraine and Evangeline; and also, Steve and Clara Kurpius.

She is survived by: her children, Connie Smith of Crookston, Janie Ricord of Redwood Falls, MN, Tracy Smith of Crookston and Scott Smith (Patrick Prochaska) of Minneapolis; her children-in-law, Eileen Smith of Langford, SD, Sharon Smith of Yuma, AZ, Dennis LaFleur and John Helgaas of Crookston; her grandchildren, Nikki Wick (Doug), Judd Smith, Jodi Enlow, Troy Smith (Leisha), Seth Ricord, Nevin Ricord and Kira Yates; her great grandchildren, Dayton Wick (Nicole), Josie Wick (Michael Thompson), Christopher Wick (Ciara), Nathan Wick, Rowdy Smith, Race Smith, Brooke Clemenson, Megan Pierson, Anna Enlow, Casey Enlow, Jayda Ricord and Talon Smith; her great great grandchildren, Ryatt Wick, Ransom Wick and Westin Thompson; her stepdaughters, Connie Kurpius-Hannesson of Crookston and MaryJane Kurpius-Brock of Crookston; her grandchildren, Wendy Berge (Scott), Darby Miller (Beka), Jeanna Miller, Andrew Miller (Tami), Larissa Kurpius-Brock and Marinda Kurpius-Brock; her great grandchildren, Riley, Jacob (Evian), Cole Miller, Alexia Engle (Tim), Thomas, Brenna Berge, Kendra Strommen and Brianna Miller; and her great great grandchildren, Allyson Miller and Leo Berge. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
