He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stroot and Emma Stroot (Klos); his wife Lucille Stroot; his siblings, David Stroot, Leo, Walter, Francis, Jerome, Joseph, William Stroot, Irene Fitzsimmons, Dorothy Westphal and Mary Pahlen; and his daughter-in-law Charlotte Stroot.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Stroot of Plymouth, MN, JoAnn Davis (Robert) of West Fargo, ND, Linda Dargus (Donald) of Meridian, ID and Steven Stroot of Crookston, MN; his grandchildren, Jason Stroot (Stacey), Bryan Stroot, Kevin Stroot, Angie Wohl (Ray), Christina Griffith (Chuck), Robert Davis, Jr. (Stephanie), Scott Dargus (Jill Peterson) and Dustin Dargus (Amy Woods); his great grandchildren, Crystal Roisum, Alexis Wohl, Charlotte Stroot, Julia Stroot, William Davis, Teodore Dargus and Tobias Peterson; his siblings, Robert Stroot of Tega Cay, SC and Clarice Ellingson of St. Michael, MN; and his sister-in-law Wanda Stroot of Crookston, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
