With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James H. Gatchell of Cromwell, Minnesota, born in Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away on September 29, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, James is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that James' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Getchell and Pearly Getchell (Pope); his siblings, Emily, Irene (Albert), Ernest, Clifford (Delores) and Melvin (Sarah); and his sister-in-law Dianne Irene Underland.
He is survived by: his children, David, Thomas Getchell (Nancy) and Kathy Sheff (Mark). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.
