He is survived by: his mother Penny Hans (Herzog) of Courtland; his siblings, Alek, Piper and Sophie; his grandparents, Neil, Angie Herzog, John Hans, Sarah Orandi, Linda and Troy Havemeier; his aunts and uncles, Heidi Bohnen-Fischer (Josh), Mary Herzog, Lizzie Herzog, Luke Herzog (Brianna), Peter Herzog, James Herzog (Sammi), Chris Holt (Heather), Ryan Holt, Brandon Havemeier (Katie), Jessi Smith-Havemeier (Mike), Nick Stiehm (Kellie), Brady Havemeier and Kenzie Havemeier; his close friend Abby Havemeier (Ophelia Bohnen-Fischer); and his father Benjamin Hans. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.

Memorials are preferred to the Children's Hospital of Minnesota or the Ronald McDonald House.
