He was predeceased by: his siblings, Marion Zimmerman, Harriet Hoffrogge, Charlotte Zimmerman, Carmen Kaesmeyer, Rodney Bode and Ralph Bode; his brothers-in-law, George Hoffrogge, Wally Thompson, Victor Kaesmeyer and Norman Ohland; and his parents, Gerhard Bode and Agnes Bode (Lange).
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Polzin (Paul) and Paul Bode (Diane); his grandchildren, Andrew Renner (Amanda), Harley Bode and Max Bode (Megan); his siblings, Bernice Thompson, Marcella Ohland, Lois Ditzler (Donald), Elaine Selby (Gene), Geraldine Schmidt (Gary), Sharon Osborne (Bill), Virginia Jakobe and Donald Bode (Margo); his siblings-in-law, Charles Zimmerman, David Morris and Darlene Bode; and his wife Lynn Hackbarth. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
