She was predeceased by: her husband Byron Kosen of John's Lutheran Church; her parents, Lawrence Fischer and Adelaide Fischer; her sister Pat Hoepner; and her stepgranddaughter Tara Nagel.

She is survived by: her children, Sherry Franzoia of Blue Springs, MO, Eric Kosen (Taunya) of Vesta and Lance Kosen (Laura) of Cottonwood; her grandchildren, Jessica Nnebedum (Craig), Shane Kosen (Katarina), Nicholas Kosen, Tanner Kosen, Dakota Kosen (Lyndsee), David Franzoia (Janan), Austin Kosen and Tyler Franzoia; her great grandchildren, Waylon, Oliver, June, Arthur and Michael; her siblings, Darla Sonntag (Robert), Murl Fischer (Sharolyn) and Connie Gruhot (Tom); and her brother-in-law Larry Hoepner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the English Lutheran Church (110 E Main St, Cottonwood, MN 56229). A prayer was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the English Lutheran Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the English Lutheran Church (110 E Main St, Cottonwood, MN 56229).
