He was predeceased by: his former wife Virginia Louwagie; his son Norman Louwagie; his parents, Marcel Louwagie and Theresa Louwagie; his stepmother Ida Louwagie; and his siblings, James Louwagie and Marian Louwagie.
He is survived by: his spouse Kris Holm; his children, Tim Louwagie (Renee), Glenn Louwagie, Dan Louwagie (Karen), Bruce Louwagie (Shannen), Theresa Kerkaert (Bryan), Julie Kula (Larry), Amy Louwagie (Rodney), Lori Schroeder (John), Chris Louwagie (Laura), Wesley Louwagie (Rachel), Phillip Louwagie (Gina), Maria Anderson (Tyler), Peter Holm (Halle), Ingrid Holm (Piero), Vincent Louwagie, Laurence Louwagie (Ardyce) and Raymond Louwagie (Cindy); and his sisters, Marcella Matthys (Joseph) and Janet Kirchner (Paul). He is also survived by 35 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Prairie Home Hospice or the Virginia Louwagie Scholarship with the Cottonwood Ambulance.
