He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Kolhei (Halverson) and Odin Kolhei; his grandson-in-law Craig Ahmann; and his brother-in-law Earl Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Lois Sandberg; his children, Shari Bruns (Steve), Rodney Kolhei (Sandy), Jeff Kolhei (Shannon) and Tim Kolhei (Chrys); his grandchildren, Tyler Schommer (Tianna), Shelby Schommer, Lance Kolhei (Stephanie), Candice Ahmann (Bryce Neva), Corinne, Jaden Kolhei and Jacqualyn Hickey (Scott); his great grandchildren, Truley, Titus Schommer, Daphne, Graham Kolhei, Reeve, Kellen Ahmann, Maxton, Rose Neva and Beau Hickey; and his sisters, Loreen Gibson and Marilyn DeBoom (Kerm). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Christ Lutheran Church (126 Front St, Cottonwood, MN 56229). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
