He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leighton and Elaine Leighton (Norlander); and his sister Lynette K. Leighton. He is survived by: his wife Lourdes Leighton (Garcia-Lavin); and his daughters, Kelsey Jun (Leighton-Han) of Stillwater, MN and Nancy Jean Niebuhr (Dyslin).
