He was predeceased by: his parents, George Peterson and Irene Peterson; his sister LaVaun Krause (Paul); and his wife Frances Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Steven Peterson, Carolyn Knight (Dan) and William Peterson; his grandchildren, Amy Wilkens (Tim), Lisa Blevens (Brent), Bayli Johnston (Peter), Dominique Fitzgerald, Kyli Fitzgerald (Bethany Schneider), Ana Mitchell (Jesse), Tracey Knight (Christopher Zello), Chris Knight (Beth) and Gavin Blevens; and his great grandchild Vance White III.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
