Ryan Kai McDonald Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ryan Kai McDonald of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Ryan Kai may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ryan Kai touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He is survived by: his parents, Chiharu McDonald (Tomoyose) and Robert "Bob" McDonald; his siblings, Mina Arakaki (Jay Nazareno) and Lance McDonald; his niece Lilia Arakaki; and his grandparents, Virginia Banach, Takahiro and Hiroko Tomoyose. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.
