He is survived by: his wife Kelli Mickelson (Burger) of Cottage Grove; his children, Mason Mickelson and Brynne Mickelson of Cottage Grove; his siblings, Dan Mickelson (Kim) of Fargo, ND and Deb Mickelson of Fargo, ND; his sister-in-law Colette Mickelson of Bismarck, ND; and his siblings, Tom Mickelson (Becky) of Rochester, MN, Todd Mickelson (Peggy) of Fargo, ND and Roni Ahern (Rose) of St Paul, MN.

He knew he was loved. He spread that love throughout with his career as a nurse; the unsung Heroes. He gave back to his patients. The world is a better place because he was here. R I P Rick.
