He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Uzpen and Anna Mae Uzpen; his granddaughter Carly; his siblings, Patricia McGrath and Robert Uzpen; his siblings-in-law, Carol Uzpen and Charlie Sutton; and his nephew Anthony Uzpen.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Uzpen; his children, Susan Palla (Russ), Joseph Uzpen (Kristina), Sandra Parr (Jerry), Bobbie Jo McCauley (John) and Kayla Lanigan (Riley); his grandchildren, Samantha, Shelby, Erin (Steve), Jackson, Jackie, Monica (Noah), Kennedy, Jerry III, Jennifer (James), Nick (Ashlee), Amanda (Jake), Joseph, Christin, Landri, Sasha, Finnegan and Jameson; his great grandchildren, Riley, Evan, Ellie, Owen, Gunnar, Morgan and Griffin; his siblings, Jon Uzpen, Matt Uzpen (Wendy), Cindy Sutton, Lisa Stager and JoAnn Novak; and his sister-in-law Kim Uzpen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Rescue Network (https://rescuenetworkmn.org) and the Animal Humane Society-Minnesota.
