He was predeceased by: his parents, John Speirs and Jesse Speirs; his wife Jolene; his parents-in-law, Francis and Symanthia Houle; and his brothers-in-law, Mitchell Houle and Richard Houle.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Speirs, Bruce Speirs (Chelle) and Jackie Bailey (Joe); his brother-in-law Raymond Houle; his grandchildren, Matthew Speirs (Micael), Sean Bailey (Kate), Nicole Bailey Clark (Jake), Jake Speirs, Anna Aiken (Sam), Caitlyn Speirs and Cameron Speirs (Danielle); and his great grandchildren, Penelope, Ripley, Oskar, Conner, Duncan, Skyler, Cooper and Sydney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
