He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; and his parents, Gerhardt and Helen. He is survived by: his children, Joe, Tom (Barb) and Jen; his grandchildren, Mitchell, Bronwyn and Lilyann; his siblings, Beverly (Chris), Jim (Patty) and Ron (Connie); his goddaughter Maggie; and his daughter Alyson.
