He was predeceased by: his son Michael; his son-in-law Gary Salmela; his parents, Frank and Esther; and his siblings, Francis Donahue, Jack and Kathleen Benson.
He is survived by: his wife Margreth; his children, Christine Leitner (Michael), Sandra Salmela, Deborah Schmitz (Dale), Jeffrey (Sue) and Donald (Michelle); his daughter-in-law Linda; and his brother Robert (Donna). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
