He was predeceased by: his son Jon Paul Moen; his parents, Paul Ingvold Moen and Avis Elvina Moen (Robertson); and his siblings, Donald Moen, Paul Moen (Shirley Knoll), Dennis Moen, Donna Bartholomay (Orlie) and Darlaine Johnson (Leo).

He is survived by: his sisters, Ruth Strege (Vernon) of Valparaiso and Avis M. Moen of Cottage Grove, MN.; and his sister-in-law Faith Moen (Erickson) of Forest Lake, MN..
